Oden Food vs Fudo

Which one fits your restaurant? An honest comparison of real cost once you add the modules, features and day-to-day operation. No marketing hype.

Updated September 2026. Based on both products' public plans.

Short version

  • Fudo makes sense if you operate in Argentina, Brazil or Chile and need that country's tax invoicing, or if your team is already trained on it and you do not use the paid modules.
  • Oden Food makes sense if you want tables, per-diner check splitting, a kitchen display and invoicing without paying for each one separately, and if you would rather pay a flat fee than keep adding modules.
  • Fudo's list price starts at 360 MXN/month, but tables, per-diner sales, the kitchen display and electronic invoicing are separate add-ons: the same restaurant on the Advanced plan lands at 1,290 MXN/month plus tax. Oden Pro is $599 a month with all of that included.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between Oden Food and Fudo?

The packaging. Fudo sells a base plan and charges separately for the pieces a table-service restaurant uses every day: table management (100 MXN/month), per-diner sales (100 MXN/month), kitchen display (200 MXN/month) and electronic invoicing (200 MXN/month). In Oden all of that is inside the plan. The other difference is the internet: Fudo needs a connection at all times, even in its server app, while Oden keeps charging and printing without one.

What does Fudo actually cost?

It depends on how many add-ons you turn on. Their published plans for Mexico are 360 (Initial), 690 (Advanced) and 1,050 (Pro) MXN, all plus tax. A table-service restaurant usually needs Advanced plus tables, per-diner sales, kitchen display and electronic invoicing: 1,290 MXN a month plus tax. Fudo gives 15% off for paying annually and 5% for automatic debit. Oden Pro is $599 a month with all of that inside, and Basic is $89.

Does Fudo work offline?

No, and today Oden does not either. Fudo says so in their FAQ: for now an internet connection is indispensable to use the system, and their server apps need to be online too. In Oden the offline mode is on the way: right now it runs as a pilot with a few restaurants, not on every account, so today it is not a difference between the two.

Can I migrate my menu from Fudo to Oden Food?

Yes, and we do it for you. Send us your Fudo menu link, a PDF or a photo of the menu over WhatsApp and we load products, categories, prices and modifiers. Usually the same day. What does not migrate is your old sales history, since it lives in their database.

What if I am in Argentina, Colombia or Peru?

Oden Food runs and bills in the currency of Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil and the United States, so the system works in full. Today's difference is tax invoicing: we issue CFDI 4.0 in Mexico and local invoicing for the other countries is on the way. If your tax obligation is today and cannot wait, that point favors Fudo.

What do Fudo users say?

On Comparasoftware it averages 3.5 out of 5, and the lowest score is support at 2.4 out of 5. The recurring complaints are that the server app does not show available stock while taking the order (it warns that a dish is out only at confirmation, without saying which one), duplicated kitchen tickets, and fixes that take months to arrive.

Does Oden charge a transaction fee like some platforms?

No. Oden charges its monthly fee and that is it. If you choose to take card payments inside Oden you pay only the processor's rate; we do not add a fee on top. You can also keep using the card terminal you already have and just record the payment.
