Oden vs Fudo
The one restaurants mention most when they write to us. Base plan from 360 MXN, but tables, per-diner splitting, kitchen display and invoicing are separate add-ons. It does not work offline.
Best for: Restaurants in Argentina, Brazil or Chile that need that country's tax invoicing.
Oden vs Loyverse
A general POS that also works for retail. The point of sale and the KDS really are free, but employees, full history and inventory are billed separately and per store.
Best for: A hybrid retail and cafe business that does not need CFDI invoicing.
Oden vs Square
Very strong in the US, where the software is cheap and the business is in the processing: they take 2.4% to 2.6% of every charge. Not available in Mexico.
Best for: US restaurants that want payments and point of sale from one vendor.
Oden vs Toast
A full suite for larger US restaurants, with its own hardware, its own processing and two to three year contracts. Not available in Mexico.
Best for: US chains that want payroll, capital and POS from a single vendor.
Oden vs pen and paper
The most widely used system there is. Free, with no learning curve, right up until the first employee starts handling money and the register stops balancing.
Best for: Small stands where the owner serves and rings up, with few tickets a day.
